How to Add and Manage Front and Back Prints on Apparel

How does my customer add a back print to an item?

Open the product on the customer-facing site, click on the back image of the product, then click Add Design. When artwork is placed in both Front and Back print locations, a $6.95 cost will be added to the product for the second print location.

Steps:

  1. Click into the item on the customer-facing site.
  2. Turn the product by clicking the back image on the right side of the primary product mockup.
  3. Click the Add Design button in the upper right side of the screen. 

How do I ensure one design appears only on the front and a different design is optional for the back?

Assign each design to the preferred side by excluding it from the opposite location within the Design Configuration settings in the design manager.

Steps:

  1. In the Design tab, click into the design you want on the front.
  2. Exclude that design from the Back location.
  3. Click into the design you want available for the back.
  4. Exclude that design from the Front location. Now the front design will appear by default on the front, and the second design will be available as an optional back print.

How can I set up products so specific logos appear in specific locations (featured product)?

Use Product Management to create a featured product with a fixed design, print position, and product style.

Steps:

  1. Open Product Management.
  2. Click into the product you want to curate.
  3. Create a featured product and place the designated logos into the Front and Back locations as required.

What should I do if items show a design I only want as a back print on the front of a garment?

Verify design exclusions and featured-product settings.

Troubleshooting checklist:

  • Confirm the intended front design is excluded from the Back location.
  • Confirm the intended back design is excluded from the Front location.
  • If using a featured product, confirm the product’s designated logos are placed in the correct locations within Product Management and use locked print positions (rather than user-selected).
