Why is my uploaded design rotated?

Vector format files (EPS, PDF, SVG, AI) sometimes include tags that function as instructions for systems that process them. When these vector files are created specifically for screen printing, they often include tags that rotate the image and add print registration marks.

If your image appears rotated after uploading it to your shop, you can fix this by flattening the vector file, which removes the embedded rotation tags.

The easiest way to flatten the file is to resave it as a transparent PNG.

To export as a transparent PNG in most design tools (such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva), go to File > Export (or Save As), select PNG as the format, and ensure the transparency option is enabled before saving.
