Why is my uploaded design rotated?

Why does my image appear rotated after uploading?

Vector format files (EPS, PDF, SVG, AI) can contain embedded instruction tags. When these files are created for screen printing, those tags may rotate the image and add print registration marks — causing the image to display incorrectly on upload. 

If your image appears rotated after uploading it to your shop, flatten the vector file to remove the embedded rotation tags and resolve the issue.

How do I fix a rotated image?

The recommended approach is to resave the file as a transparent PNG.

How do I export a transparent PNG?

To export as a transparent PNG in most design tools (such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva):

  1. Go to File > Export (or Save As).
  2. Select PNG as the file format.
  3. Enable the Transparency option.
  4. Save the file.

Once you have saved the transparent PNG, return to your shop and re-upload the new file in place of the original vector file. The rotated appearance should no longer occur.
